Getting started

How do I get started?

Create an account and verify your email to receive 10 free credits. No card is required. Upload a food photo, choose photos from Your Pantry, or save unstyled originals directly to a collection. Creating a new photo costs 1 credit; uploading and selecting photos are free.

Can I return to an unfinished photo?

The editor saves recoverable drafts in this browser when local storage is available. Return using the same browser and account to recover available work. This is separate from your completed Pantry photos, which are saved to your account. Clearing browser data or switching devices can remove access to a local draft.

What photos can I upload?

Use JPG, PNG or WebP files under 15 MB each, with at least 256 pixels on each side. You can upload up to 100 photos at a time. Start with a clear image that shows the whole dish. Convert HEIC photos to JPG before uploading.

What are the three photo workflows?

Style a batch applies one shared look to multiple photos. Edit individually gives each photo its own direction. Build one scene combines food from multiple photos into a single meal image. Choose your workflow after uploading or selecting photos.

What is the difference between Create with Wizard and Create photo?

Create with Wizard chooses automatic styling and does not use your written instructions or reference photo. Create photo uses your instructions, styling selections and chosen references. Check your image size and Replate setting before creating. Each generated image costs 1 credit.

Styling & Replate

How do I customize my photo?

Open Customize your photo to describe your vision, add a reference image, or adjust photo details such as the plate, background, lighting, camera angle, composition, focus, props and color. You can combine instructions with the controls. Your written instructions take priority over conflicting style defaults, while food-preservation rules still apply.

What does Replate do?

Check Replate to rearrange the existing food for professional plating. The AI is instructed to match the original dish as closely as possible, keeping the same ingredients, garnishes, visible ingredient counts, portions and cooking doneness. Replate uses your other selected styling options and is included in the photo’s 1-credit generation cost. Always compare the result with your real dish.

Will Replate change plastic sauce cups or takeout containers?

When Replate is checked, sauces and condiments in disposable cups can be transferred into suitable presentation containers or placed appropriately on the plate. Their contents and amounts should stay the same. When Replate is unchecked, condiment containers are preserved, even when you choose another plate, look or reference.

Will the AI keep my food the same?

By default, the AI is instructed to preserve the dish, ingredients, portions and plating while improving the surroundings and photography. Replate permits rearranging the existing food. AI can still change details, so check every result before using it on a menu, delivery listing or advertisement.

How do photo suggestions work?

Photo suggestions review the current photo and, when selected, your reference images to offer specific improvements. Selecting a suggestion adds direction to your instructions; it does not generate an image. Suggestion reviews use no photo credits and are limited to 200 per account per day. You can continue using written instructions and styling controls if you reach the limit.

How do I save and reuse a look?

Use Save & reuse a look in the customization menu to save your styling choices and reuse them on another dish. Saved looks help keep a consistent menu style. Review references and instructions when applying a look to a new photo, since each dish may need different treatment.

How do reference photos work?

Add a reference image under your prompt to guide the setting or visual style, or choose saved references for specific photo details. References guide the selected purpose; they should not replace the food in your main photo. Use Create photo to apply your references.

How do I organize or delete references?

Your reference library has five shelves: Food & dishes, Plates & packaging, Tables & settings, Photo style, and Props & styling. Search, rename, archive or restore references as needed. Deleting a reference also removes its links from saved looks; finished generated photos stay saved.

Can I create one meal scene from several photos?

Yes. Choose Build one scene and select the dishes or drinks you want in the meal. Assign their roles and choose the arrangement, then generate one combined image. The combined output costs 1 credit, rather than one credit per source photo. Review the result to ensure all food and portions are represented accurately.

Can I style a whole menu in one batch?

Yes. Select Style a batch, choose a shared look and review the credit total before starting. Each generated output uses 1 credit. You can pause and resume a batch in the same browser. Keep the tab open while the batch runs; completed results remain in Your Pantry.

Revisions & comparisons

How do I revise a finished photo?

Use Apply changes in the result workspace to edit the current result with your new instructions and selections. From Your Pantry, More Actions → Revise Image opens the first styling page with that saved photo. Each new generated revision uses 1 credit; opening the editor is free.

What do Regenerate, Undo and Back to Original do?

Regenerate creates another version using the photo’s saved direction and costs 1 credit. Undo opens the previous version without generating a new image. Back to Original returns to your starting photo so you can change direction. Finished versions stay in Your Pantry until you delete them.

How can I compare photos and check details?

Use the before/after slider or side-by-side comparison to inspect the original and result. Where a previous version is available, you can compare against that version too. Open the zoom viewer to check food, plating, containers and other fine details before downloading.

What happens if a generation fails or my connection drops?

Failed generations return the reserved credit automatically. If your connection drops, check Your Pantry before creating another photo: the original request may still finish. A finished photo that you would like to change is a completed generation; a new version uses another credit.

Your Pantry & collections

What can I do with photos in Your Pantry?

Browse in Grid or List view, search by photo or collection name, sort photos and filter Favorites. Use More Actions to view, rename, favorite, revise or style a photo, save it to a collection, upscale a generated result, or delete it. Use the pagination controls to browse the rest of your library.

Can I save originals without generating anything?

Yes. Upload unstyled originals directly into a collection using Save originals · Free. This uses no credits and retains the original file resolution. Choose Style photo on an original when you are ready to create a styled version; that generation uses 1 credit.

How do I manage collections?

Create collections to group your photos, then use Save to Collection on a photo or the selection tools for several photos. Collection management lets you rename or delete a collection and remove photos from it. Removing photos from a collection or deleting the collection keeps the photos in Your Pantry; deleting a photo is a separate action.

Can I work with several saved photos at once?

Select photos from Your Pantry or a collection, then choose Use selected photos to start a workflow. Selection uses no credits. The library also supports actions on selected photos, including collection organization, downloading and deletion. Check the selected set before confirming a destructive action.

Downloads & HD

How do image size and downloads work?

Choose the image shape before generation; Original uses the proportions of your uploaded photo. Download finished photos without extra credits. Pantry download options include Original, 9:16, 16:9 and 1:1. Size & crop lets you position and zoom the crop for available export sizes; cropping does not generate a new photo.

Can I download JPG, PNG or several photos together?

Downloads use JPG by default. Turn off Download images as JPG under Profile & Settings → Advanced settings to use PNG. When exporting multiple selected photos, downloads are packaged in a ZIP file. Downloading uses no photo credits.

What does Upscale to HD do?

Choose More Actions → Upscale to HD on a generated Pantry photo to create a higher-resolution version for larger displays or print. It costs 1 credit and is intended to preserve the food, plating, containers, colors and framing. Your standard version stays saved. The credit is returned if upscaling fails; sufficiently large photos may already be at HD size.

Which photos have a watermark?

Trial accounts generate watermarked photos. An eligible paid subscription or a credit-pack purchase enables new photos without a watermark. Canceling renewal keeps paid access through the paid period. After that period ends, new photos are watermarked unless the account has purchased a credit pack. Previously saved photos keep their existing watermark status; upgrading does not automatically remove a watermark from an old file.

Plans, credits & account

How many credits do photos use?

Creating a photo, revision, regenerated variation or HD upscale uses 1 credit per output. A combined meal scene is one output; a batch uses one credit per generated photo. Uploading originals, choosing photos, managing collections, reviewing suggestions, comparing results and downloading do not use photo credits.

How do monthly and annual plan credits work?

Both monthly and annual plans receive a monthly credit allowance. An annual payment covers the year, but does not give all twelve allowances at once. Each monthly refresh replaces unused plan credits; normal refreshes do not roll them over. Your profile shows the plan, balance and subscription dates.

What happens to my credits when I upgrade?

An upgrade keeps your remaining plan credits and adds the full new plan allowance. The billing cycle starts fresh from the upgrade date. Stripe shows the charge before you confirm. Future monthly refreshes replace unused plan credits as usual. Purchased credit-pack credits are separate and remain available while your account is active.

How do credit packs work?

Credit packs are one-time purchases with no recurring charge. Purchased credits stay valid while your account is active and are separate from the monthly plan allowance. Use the Pricing or Photo Credits page to see the current packs and plans.

How do I manage billing or change my plan?

Open Profile & Settings and use Manage subscription & billing to access the secure Stripe billing portal. It shows the available subscription changes and billing controls. Review the dates and charges shown in Stripe before confirming a change.

What happens when I cancel my subscription?

Cancel renewal in Profile & Settings to stop the next renewal. Paid access continues until the end of the paid period; an annual plan continues its monthly credit allowances during that paid year. You can resume renewal while the subscription is still eligible. When paid access ends, remaining plan credits are cleared. Purchased credits and saved photos remain available while your account is active.

How do I update my profile or recover my password?

Profile & Settings lets you update your display name and choose one of seven Foodie Wizard avatars. Avatar changes save directly without a confirmation popup. If you forget your password, use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. For email verification, use the controls in your profile.

How do I contact support?

Use the Contact Us form on the website without signing in, or open Contact Us in Profile & Settings. Account requests can include a related Pantry photo. Website requests and account messages reach our support team by email and in the support inbox. Staff replies are emailed to the supplied website address or your account email; account conversations also remain under View conversations. You can email support@platingwizard.com directly.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Use the account deletion control in Profile & Settings and confirm the permanent deletion. This cancels an active subscription and removes your account’s photos, references, saved looks and unused credits. You may need to sign in again first. Download anything you want to keep before deleting the account.
